Phocas is pleased to announce the appointment of Blair Cassidy as the Chief Product Officer (CPO). Cassidy brings more than 19 years of digital product experience to Phocas, most recently serving as the CPO for SLI Systems. Cassidy will lead the company’s efforts in developing innovations that build upon Phocas’ data analytics solutions and its success helping customers better leverage their business data.
Phocas has done a great job of building a product that people actually want to implement,” said Cassidy. “Phocas is so simple to use, so fast, and so reliable that it quickly becomes a critical part of users’ everyday workflow, allowing managers to focus on the unique challenges of running their businesses.
Phocas helps users identify the key insights that give them a competitive edge, and to keep delivering these as the world around them changes at an ever-increasing pace. The software delivers a powerful and simple user experience, which is a tough thing to do. It’s an exciting time to be joining Phocas.”
Blair has a diverse and broad skill set. He will champion the product offering throughout our company and within the customer base,” said Myles Glashier, co-CEO of Phocas.
“We have many product managers who have helped launch our cloud-based software, added rebates and new features, but we have never had a dedicated CPO. The timing is right to bring on Blair as more mid-market businesses want data insights to compete and make sound decisions. With Blair and his team, our customers can expect to see an increase in how they can benefit from using Phocas, with an emphasis on what all teams - from purchasing to finance - can gain from data analysis.”
Glashier added, “We are still growing as a company, and the potential of our solutions is limitless. We look forward to Blair’s ongoing contributions, as we all continue to work hard to help business people feel good about their data. To make the change and the necessary decisions to get ahead.”
Prior to SLI Systems, Cassidy was the VP of Engineering at Eurekster, Managing Consultant at PA Consulting and a researcher at NBCi. He started his career as a research scientist at the Wool Research Organization of New Zealand. He completed his PhD in computational modelling and simulation at Lincoln University and his bachelor’s degree in mathematics at the University of Canterbury.
Cassidy is in Atlanta this week for the annual Phocas User Group (PUG)live training conference and looks forward to meeting some of our American customers.
